Who we are

SnackNotes is a personal project made by an individual in California, USA. This policy covers snacknotes.com and the free web toys published there, such as the pumpkin carver.

Information we collect

When you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email address. You may also choose to provide additional information, such as your interests, the age ranges of your children, and whether you would like to participate in product testing. We also collect basic referral information, such as the link or campaign that brought you to the site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for a short time for security.

The toys

Our web toys keep what you make in your own browser's storage. Nothing you draw, carve, or write is sent to us, and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser's data removes it.

How we use it

We use this information to send you our newsletter, to invite you to test our products, and to respond to your inquiries. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

Sharing

We share your information only with the service providers that store our subscriber list and deliver our emails, and only for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Our email service keeps a record of unsubscribed addresses so that it can honor the unsubscribe.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not use cookies or advertising trackers. We use privacy-focused analytics to count visits. These analytics do not identify individual visitors.

Your choices

You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. Wherever you live, you may also ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you by emailing [email protected].

Children's privacy

Our toys are made for kids to use with their families and teachers, and they collect no personal information. The newsletter is for parents and teachers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and if we learn that we have, we delete it.

Do Not Track

This site does not track visitors across third-party websites and therefore does not respond to Do Not Track signals.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
